Federal and State Drug Laws
Ensure compliance with federal and state drug laws, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy services
Reporting to Board of Pharmacy
Complete required reporting to the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy
Access
Available by phone 7 days per week for questions or consultation
Drug Storage
Maintain drug storage and drug access in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
Policy and Procedures
Review, edit and approve Policy and Procedures manual
Site Facility Visits
Conduct on site visits a minimum of once monthly for the first 3 months and a minimum of once every 3 months thereafter
Activity Record Keeping
Maintain a log or record of site visits, chart reviews, interventions and consultations to comply with NM Board of Pharmacy regulations
Oversight of Drug Disposition
Oversight of destruction or removal of unwanted or outdated drugs
In-services
Provide in-service education and training to facility providers and staff as needed
Chart Reviews
Complete a review of no less than five percent of medical records per month
Drug Records and Inventories
Maintain records of receipt of drugs and inventories of controlled Substances as required by the Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act, the Controlled Substances Act and the NM Board of Pharmacy Regulations.
Licensing
Ensure all drug requirements are met for facility licensing
